NM Watershed Watch - River Source program

(Program)

(October 2008) River Source offered the annual New Mexico Watershed Watch offered a train-the-trainer session on the Mora River at the wonderful Wind River Ranch in September 2007 and 2008. Highlights from the training include a walk of the wetlands in Petroglyph Canyon, benthic macroinvertebrate sampling and sorting to 6 key groups, wetlands and fisheries habitat monitoring, chemical and physical analysis to assess the health of local watersheds. Thanks to Brian Miller, the Wind River Ranch Foundation, and the Thaw Foundation for your tremendous hospitality. The 2009 training will start on August 3, 2009 and go for four days in a beautiful location to be determined.
